We are looking for some members interested in playing Shuffleboard on Wednesday mornings. If there is insufficient interest we may cancel the program.
In answer to some of your queries there will not be a free flu clinic at the Centre this year. Watch for notification of other places to get your free shot. Please do take the opportunity to get yourself immunized against the flu and have a healthy winter season.
Our Halloween Pot Lunch is coming up on Friday, Oct. 27. Dress up in your costume and bring your favourite dish to share with others. Lunch is at noon and will be followed with a Halloween movie “Hocus Pocus” with Bette Midler and Sarah Jessica Parker. Sounds like fun.
Tickets for our Annual Fall Fashion Show are available at Reception. Again we are fortunate to be able to show the fall styles of Alia Tan/Jay and Northern Reflections. Come out at 1:00 to hear our new Jazz Quartet. The Fashion Show will begin at 1:30 pm. Tickets are $6.00. Advance ticket sales only. We will also be offering a 50/50 draw and light refreshments.
NEW: There has been a change at the Travel Desk. Florence will be available Monday to Friday from 9 to 1. This will now be your time to sign-up for upcoming trips and make trip payments and have your questions answered.
There is also a change for Acton members day trip travel. You are now required to call Florence at 905 873 1210 or 905 873 0057 to book a day trip and make payment. Pick-ups for day trips will still be made in Acton.
The Hillsview newsletter is available at both locations as well as the Halton Hills Public Libraries, Civic Centre and Gellert Community Centre. The newsletter outlines our drop-in activities, active living programs as well as upcoming special events.
