Jane Fogal - Biography
Cycling, Recreation and Livable Communities
First elected in 1997, Jane served two terms as a local Councillor representing Georgetown. Jane is currently serving her third term as a member of Halton Regional Council. In her role as regional councillor, she has committed to developing and maintaining a balanced, livable Halton Hills that is economically viable, with a social conscience. Her efforts have contributed to the expansion of Halton Hill’s interconnected trails and cycling routes, and lively cultural scene.
Before entering public life, Jane worked in Parks and Recreation for the cities of North York and Sudbury. She has a B.A. in physical education and master’s degree in sports psychology.
Jane is the Chair of the Town’s Active Transportation Committee and its Bicycle Friendly Communities Subcommittee. Other committee and special project memberships include:

Jane is an avid cyclist, plays squash and tennis, and sails in the summer months. She is also a recipient of the 2011 Halton Hills Arts Alive Award for Culture.
