Participate in Earth Hour


The Town, Halton Hills Hydro and Wastewise are partnering to collect and weigh unwanted electronics brought to Wastewise during the week of March 18 – 25. For hours of operation of Wastewise contact: www.wastewise.ca

Earth Hour is coming up on March 25 from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. The Town of Halton Hills encourages everyone to turn off unnecessary lights and electronics to recognize Earth Hour. Halton Hills Hydro will be measuring our community energy reduction during Earth Hour.         


Shop Local Shop Halton Hills


The Town of Halton Hills in partnership with community business organizations re-launched the successful Shop Local – Shop Halton Hills to mark Canada’s150 anniversary.  A free information package is available to local businesses and includes a window decal and a ‘10 Reasons to Shop Local’ flyer. Businesses are encouraged to use the logo in their ads and marketing materials. Packages are available from the Town’s Economic Development Office.


Need Funding?


Do you need funding for an event or project? Apply now to the Community Sustainability Investment Fund. This Fund supports initiatives that help implement the Community Sustainability Strategy. The application deadline is Monday April 3, 2017 by 4:30 p.m.

The Green Development Leadership Awards are an opportunity to celebrate and recognize industry leaders that are making a valuable contribution to the sustainability of Halton Hills.  The nomination deadline is Friday June 23, 2017 before 4:30 p.m. Apply Now!
