Maintenance Closures
Acton Lion's Indoor Pool - Temporary Maintenance Closure - October 20 to November 9:
The Acton Indoor Pool will be closed from Monday, October 20 to Sunday, November 9 for emergency repairs. Regular programming will resume on Monday, November 10. Program schedules are being adjusted, and affected participants will be contacted directly by email. During the closure, recreational swimming and aqua fitness are available at the Gellert Community Centre.
Seasonal Closures
Sports Fields: All grass sports fields and diamonds are closed between September 22, 2025 and late April 2026 for seasonal maintenance. This allows the fields to rest, especially during the wettest time of the year when the most damage can occur. During this time, parks staff complete maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Please respect the sport field and diamond closures. Parks, trails, and outdoor spaces remain open for use.
Outdoor Courts: Due to favourable weather, all courts will remain open for public use until October 26. All courts are to be closed October 27. During this period members of the public will have access to all the courts between 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Portable toilets will not be onsite after October 13.
Inclement Weather Policy for Recreation Programs
Program cancellations are actively updated online during normal weekday operating hours. Recreation facility closures due to inclement weather or other causes will be communicated in the following ways:

If your program is organized through a third party, please contact your leagues for updates. On business days when inclement weather occurs, closure and cancellation decisions will be made for daytime programs by 7:00 a.m. for programs that start at 9:00 am or later, and for evening programs by 2:00 pm. |
