    Celebrating Artists of Wenjiang China: October 5 - 29, 2017

    This special exhibition features calligraphy, paintings and photography from Wenjiang, China in celebration of the historic twinning agreement between the Town of Halton Hills and Wenjiang District in the City of Chengdu.

    Watch for ‘Celebrating Artists of Wenjiang China’, an exhibition of 60 paintings, photographs and works of calligraphy from artists of our sister city!

    The Helson Gallery’s Culture Days activities for children on Saturday, September 30 from 1 – 5 p.m. will proceed as scheduled.

    October 18 at 7 p.m. in the Cultural Centre Studio; $5 per person

    Discover the role of beads as a forum for adaptation, survival and creative expression of the Northeast and Woodland Native groups of the Great Lakes region in this informative talk by Naomi Smith. Naomi is a First Nation Artisan and Educator from Neyaashiinigmiing, Ontario who will share beautiful examples from her extensive personal collection of beadwork

    Featuring landscape paintings by Halton Hills artists alongside a special selection of work by George Perdue (1945 – 2014), an influential local artist and teacher.

    Are you interested in learning more about the arts in your community? 

    The Helson Gallery is pleased to offer outreach presentations to local service clubs and other organizations. Learn about the culturally significant Helson Collection and Canada’s premier painters, the Group of Seven. A speaker will  visit your group and provide a 45 minute talk on these local art treasures along with highlights of the many new gifts of art made to the Town of Halton Hills. Special in-gallery presentations about the Helson Collection are also available.
