    Caring for Ice-Damaged Trees

    The LandOwner Resource Centre, with support from the Ministry of Natural Resources, has prepared an information sheet for landowners to assist with the assessment and care of ice damaged trees.  Residents are encouraged to check out the technical information provided and to seek out professional help from an arborist where it may be required: more resources can be found on-line visiting the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Ontario Chapter website at

    If you see trees that pose a high risk to public safety or public/private buildings/structures, please call 905-873-2601, x 2603 or e-mail to report issues.

    A strategy to complete pruning and/or removal of damaged trees will be undertaken this year for restoration starting in 2015.
