Action Sports Needs Assessment
The Town of Halton Hills is sponsoring the development of a community-driven Active Living Strategy to increase the physical activity levels of people who live, work and play in Halton Hills.
Community Branding Project
The mandate of the project is to create an integrated, community-wide Halton Hills brand supporting cultural tourism, economic development and residential growth. Our “community brand” is designed make the Imagine Halton Hills vision tangible and compelling for current and new residents, existing and new businesses and visitors.
Community Energy Plan
In 2012, Town Council approved moving forward with a “strategic” Community Energy Plan, in close partnership with Halton Hills Community Energy Corporation. This important Plan will implement and build on the Town’s long-standing commitment to energy conservation, Halton HillsHydro’s energy efficiency programs, as well as the Integrated Community SustainabilityStrategy.
Community Improvement Program (CIP)
Halton Hills Council approved the Town of Halton Hills Comprehensive Community Improvement Plan (CIP). The Town of Halton Hills Comprehensive CIP identifies the entirety of the Town of Halton Hills as a Community Improvement Project Area and outlines incentive programs and municipal leadership strategies
An exciting path is being taken by the Town of Halton Hills! It is a path towards a sustainable future, with a great quality of life for all. This path is being prepared through a very unique process, one that is being led by a broad multi-stakeholder group of individuals and community partners who are committed to building a sustainable community.
Telecommunication Towers & Related Facilities Protocol Update
The Town’s existing Telecommunication Towers and Related Facilities Protocol (dated December 2005) was based on Industry Canada’s “CPC-2-0-03 Issue 3 – Environmental Process, Radiofrequency Fields and Land-Use Consultation” document.
The Town of Halton Hills is exploring opportunities towards a safe and efficient trucking strategy that supports economic and employment activities, while balancing the needs of the community.
