Information Services primary GIS (Geographic Information System) objective is to provide the infrastructure and tools for Town Staff to publish and create spatial data, and serve it in mapping applications that are accessible by the Community, Council and Staff.
The interactive mapping application, MapLinks, provides access to map data layers such as Addressing, Streets, Parcel and Municipal Boundaries, Parks, and multiple years of Aerial Imagery, among others. Tools are available within this application to search and query, turn data layers on/off, add text and graphics, measure distances and areas, plot coordinates and create printable map products.
This full featured version of MapLinks is designed for desktop users and requires that Microsoft Silverlight be installed on your computer. If you do not already have it installed, you will be prompted to install on your first use.
MapLinks Mobile can be used on any number of devices, including smart phones, tablets, as well as traditional desktops. While fewer tools are available, this version contains the same datasets, but requires no plug-in installation.
