Please join me on Sunday March 19 from 2:15 – 3:45 for a free Family public skate at Mold-Masters SportsPlex on the Fernbrook Homes pad.

Thank you to everyone who participated in with the Mayor's Big Brother, Big Sister bowling tournament.  With your help, we raised over $13,000.  The big winners are our little brothers and sisters in our community.

On Monday January 16th the Town of Halton Hills held its inaugural Green Development Leadership Awards Celebration. The Green Development Leadership Awards were established to recognize and celebrate developments that comply with or exceed the minimum point requirements of the Town's Green Development Standards.

The Green Development Standards, which came into force in June of 2014, are a highly flexible set of point-based criteria that materialize in more sustainable, high-performance and efficient development – benefiting the development/building industry as well as building owners/occupants. The Town's Standards are designed to maximize the positive attributes while minimizing potentially negative impacts of development.

"The Green Development Standards are an important tool which Halton Hills uses to incorporate sustainability in our new residential, commercial and industrial developments and enhance quality of life," said Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette. "The Green Development Leadership Awards enable us to recognize leading developers who build to the higher standard desired by the Town".
