The Town of Halton Hills intends to designate the Wapshott-Lane House at 65 Maple Avenue under the Ontario Heritage Act for its architectural, historical, and contextual significance. This late nineteenth-century Gothic Revival Ontario Cottage is associated with the Wapshott and Lane families and contributes to the historic character of Maple Avenue in Georgetown.

Acton GO Station’s parking lot will undergo phased repaving work as part of Metrolinx’s network-wide State of Good Repair program, starting August 24 and continuing until October 2026, resulting in phased parking lot closures.
