The AVIP (Aquatics Volunteer Incentive Program) is designed to encourage volunteers who have a passion for aquatics to pursue a job in the field and reduce the costs necessary to become a swim instructor.
Once registered in the program, you must complete 75 hours of volunteer time assisting instructors as they deliver swimming lessons. Once the necessary hours are complete, you can apply to receive 50% off* the cost of the Swim and Lifesaving Instructor course, which is necessary to become a swim instructor.
In order to enroll in the AVIP program, applicants must be 14 years of age or older by the end of the calendar year and have successfully completed Swimmer Level 6 or equivalent.
