HALTON HILLS, ON – A new exhibition, Le petit salon: Canadian Artists and Impressionism opens at the Town of Halton Hills’ Helson Gallery on April 27. Featuring over 60 works by noted Canadian artists, the exhibition traces the influences of French Impressionism during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Paintings and prints have been generously lent from several private collections and works from the Town’s historically significant Helson Collection are also included. The exhibition continues until July 23.
“The beautiful setting of the Helson Gallery is the perfect backdrop for this collection of Impressionist art and I hope people may find time to visit safely and enjoy this new exhibition,” said Mayor Rick Bonnette.
The Helson Gallery is part of the Halton Hills Cultural Centre and Public Library, located at 9 Church St., Halton Hills, and is open Wed – Sun: 1 – 5 pm. The Gallery and Cultural Centre are closed on Sundays during July and August. Please note that the Helson Gallery is staffed by volunteers and hours are subject to their availability.
