HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town invites residents of Halton Hills to celebrate Black History Month this February with a series of experiential and educational programs presented by Cultural Services and the Halton Hills Public Library. Mayor Rick Bonnette will recognize Black History Month at the upcoming February 7th Council meeting. “As we continue to shape our community as an inclusive and equitable place to live, work and play, it’s essential that we learn from the legacy, and engage with the stories of Black Canadians; this month, and throughout the year.”

Black History Month was also recognized via a proclamation submitted by the African Caribbean Association through the Town’s new online process. Proclamations are posted on the Town’s website and included in the General Information section of Council agendas.
