HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town of Halton Hills is bringing back programming in celebration of Small Business Week (October 16 - 20) to support new and growing businesses.
The third annual Picture Perfect: DIY Product Photography Event will again be held to support local small businesses, including start-ups, home-based businesses, and entrepreneurs. The initiative offers two days of free studio space and photography equipment at the Halton Hills Public Library.
“The Picture Perfect initiative is a terrific opportunity for our local small businesses, and I’m so pleased we can again host this unique event,” said Mayor Ann Lawlor. “They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and if that is the case, then this initiative supports a multitude of stories.”
The library studio rooms will be equipped with a photo light box, tripod, backdrops, and DSLR camera to create picture-perfect shots of your business products.
One-hour studio space sessions are available on Tuesday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Georgetown Branch and Thursday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Acton Branch. The Town’s Digital Main Street Coordinator will be available to assist with photography questions and provide tips and tricks on how to produce digital content. Business Advisors from the Halton Region Small Business Centre will also be onsite to facilitate drop-in sessions for any start-up or business expansion inquiries.

In addition to the Picture Perfect programming, the Town has collaborated with the Halton Region Small Business Centre to offer a Free Networking Event on October 18th from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Halton Hills Library and Cultural Centre Studio Room. Space is limited, register via the Region’s Small Business webpage.
The Picture Perfect event is part of the Town’s Digital Main Street Program currently available through the Town’s Economic Development Department until the end of 2023. Visit the Digital Main Street webpage to find out how small businesses can learn about advancing digital marketing tools and apply for grants to use towards online advertising, photography, website design, online stores, and physical hardware like tablets and a new POS system.
