HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town invites residents to participate in programs offered by Cultural Services and the Halton Hills Public Library this June to honour the history, knowledge, creativity, and diversity of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
Mayor Rick Bonnette will recognize Indigenous History Month at the upcoming June 13th Council meeting. “I encourage the community to participate in Indigenous programming offered throughout June, and to take an active role in learning about the experiences of Indigenous peoples in our country”, said Bonnette. “Engaging with diverse cultural programming is an important step toward creating a more diverse and inclusive community in Halton Hills.”
