At Your Convenience! Community groups, families and individuals are encouraged to organize their clean-up group and time during Earth Week. On Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., join the Georgetown Rotary Club members in an organized clean-up starting at Maple Creek Parkette (39 Gooderham, Georgetown), and heading along the Hungry Hollow Trail System.
To ensure our clean-up efforts are not duplicated, register your cleanup location and learn where you can pick up free bags and gloves while supplies last by registering below.
The Town will be hosting it's annual Earth Week celebration with a variety of events and activities that support a healthy environment by taking actions that enhance natural assets and a thriving local biodiversity while contributing to a resilient and low carbon community.

From the discovery of corn pollen that led to reconstruction of a 15th century longhouse village to the designation of the lake as the host of the Golden Spike for the proposed Anthropocene Epoch, this presentation will explore all the secrets of Crawford Lake! |

Join us for the launch of the new Spring Gardener's Swap, and explore our Outdoor Little-Library. At the event, the Seed Library offered by the Halton Hills Public Library will be on-site with a variety of free garden seeds. Together we'll immerse ourselves in the lush ravine as new growth emerges and as spring birds sing their joyful songs. This is a free event with refreshments provided. All ages welcome. Established in 2021, the intention of the Climate Change Investment Fund is to provide funding for community actions that support the Town’s environmental goals. The application intake is open and is closing at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday May 8, 2025. More details are in the Application Guide and Form below.

The Town of Halton Hills and Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) have developed the Hungry Hollow Sustainable Neighbourhood Action Plan for the Hungry Hollow - Delrex Neighbourhood. This plan advances the Town's Climate Change Adaptation Plan and identifies actions to help the community become more environmentally sustainable and resilient to the impacts of climate change.
