Premier Gateway Phase 1B

Study background and purpose

The Study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act. Transportation and water and wastewater servicing master plans and a scoped Subwatershed Study, which are components of the Secondary Plan are being carried out in accordance with the requirements of Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act.

Project consultant

In March 2015, Council approved the retention of a project consulting team led by Macaulay Shiomi Howson Ltd. in association with AMEC Foster Wheeler, Brook McIlroy and other sub-consultants to complete the project (see report PDS-2015-0021 below).

Your input

Community consultation is a key part of the preparation of the Secondary Plan, and the related transportation, servicing and scoped subwatershed master plans and studies. Public information sessions were held throughout the study with the initial session taking place in October 2015. To submit any comments and questions, please contact Bronwyn Parker. Materials available from Public Open House

The Town held a public open house related to the Premier Gateway Phase 1B Employment Area Secondary Plan Study on Thursday, March 1, 2018. The event took place at the Gordon Alcott Heritage Hall at Mold-Masters SportsPlex and was well attended by interested members of the public. A presentation was given by the Consultant which is available for download and print upon request.

Following the presentation, participants worked in small groups led by a staff facilitator to complete a Draft Secondary Plan worksheet. A copy of the worksheet is available. Participants were also provided the opportunity to add any additional comments they may have on the Draft Secondary Plan via a comment sheet.

Materials available from Statutory Public Meeting

A Statutory Public Meeting was held on Monday, May 7, 2018 regarding draft Official Plan Amendment No. 30 and draft Official Plan Amendment No. 31. A copy of the Statutory Public Meeting Notice is available upon request. The presentation given by the Town's Consultant is also now available for review upon request.
