Halton Region initiated the Water and Wastewater Area Servicing Plan (ASP) for the Premier Gateway Phase 1B Employment Area in Halton Hills in 2017 to identify and evaluate water and wastewater servicing alternatives and recommend a servicing solution. The Water and Wastewater ASP will support the Premier Gateway Employment Area (PGEA) in Halton Hills, which is designated as an urban area, a natural heritage system as well as an Employment Area in the Region's Official Plan. A copy of the Final Area Servicing Plan is now available from the contacts listed below.
The PGEA will serve as a key employment growth area including industrial, office, commercial and institutional services. The completion of this Water and Wastewater ASP for the Premier Gateway Employment Area Phase 1B in Halton Hills is a critical step in the development of a key employment area by the Region and the Town of Halton Hills.
The key objectives of this Water and Wastewater Area Servicing Plan are to:
Develop a comprehensive servicing strategy to meet the requirements of the Secondary Plan Area that can cost-effectively be constructed.
Provide a defensible framework and implementation plan for servicing of the Secondary Plan Area.
Provide justification and recommendations for timing and phasing of new Regional and local infrastructure.
Build on previous studies and create a forward-looking document to support Halton Hills that aligns with infrastructure planning across the Region.
